The Challenges We've Faced:
Running Batican Custom Framery has always been a labor of love, but the past two years have tested us in unimaginable ways. The pandemic-induced mass exodus from the Bay Area caused our expenses to skyrocket. Rental and operational costs more than tripled, forcing us into a financial position we’ve never faced before.

For the first time in our history, we’ve had to borrow extensively to keep our doors open—accumulating nearly $25,000 in debt while falling behind on critical bills. As the owner, this has been an incredibly stressful period, leading to tough decisions and a humbling realization: we can’t do this alone.

The Good News:
There is a silver lining! Batican Custom Framery has an incredible opportunity to relocate to Northfork, just outside Fresno. This move will not only lower our costs dramatically but also allow us to grow in ways we couldn’t in the Bay Area.

• Facilities: We’ll operate out of a spacious, 4,000-square-foot barn with multiple workspaces and a shop.

• Community: We’ll create an art studio for workshops and provide campsites for visiting artists and adventurers.

• Inspiration: The beautiful surroundings offer unparalleled opportunities for plein air painting and creativity.

This move marks a fresh start for us and an exciting chance to give back to the community through art and shared experiences.
