We have an obsession with frame design. We believe the frame is the portal to the artist's world. A passageway. It bridges the gap between our world and the artist's world, and it does it properly. The batican is a family run, artist owned. for artists by artists operation. We aim to provide artists with world class custom frames and work with artists to achieve their vision for their artwork. Batican was started by Nigel Robertson, a ten plus year working artist and alumni of the Florence Academy of Art. Nigel has a passion for building frames, and a passion for great artwork particularly from the 19th century and the Old Masters. Batican aims to provide contemporary artists with sleek, sexy, awesome frames. We have a serious obsession with frames and artwork at The Batican.
